New York: Video featuring al-Qaida removed from YouTube: Renowned video sharing site YouTube removes video sermons by radical cleric following pressure from US and British officials.

This Wednesday, the New York Times stated on its website that Victoria Grand, YouTube spokeswoman stated that the videos related to Anwar al-Awlaki which has been posted on YouTube has violated the site’s guidelines prohibiting “incitement to commit violent acts.”
The newspaper further stated that this video was removed after a British official urged its removal. Anthony Weiner, Democratic New York Rep also sent letters to the company listing numerous videos featuring US born Yemeni cleric.
His request was taken more seriously following last week’s attempted mail bombings from Yemen.
