Video featuring al-Qaida removed from YouTube: Renowned video sharing site YouTube removes video sermons by radical cleric following pressure from US and British officials.

This Wednesday, the New York Times stated on its website that Victoria Grand, YouTube spokeswoman stated that the videos related to Anwar al-Awlaki which has been posted on YouTube has violated the site’s guidelines prohibiting “incitement to commit violent acts.”

The newspaper further stated that this video was removed after a British official urged its removal. Anthony Weiner, Democratic New York Rep also sent letters to the company listing numerous videos featuring US born Yemeni cleric.

His request was taken more seriously following last week’s attempted mail bombings from Yemen.

YouTube videos make an impression in modern art: There is no doubt that these days social networking sites are becoming so popular.

And much to everyone’s surprise the social media has carved an impression in modern art. In a recent event titled “YouTube Play: Biennial of Creative Video” displayed a collection of videos from these social media services.

There were 23, 000 entries in total from various countries. These videos mainly comprised of music and animation. Top 25 videos were selected for the competition.

These top 25 videos varied from animated line drawings to cartoons and were created by 39 artists from 14 different countries.

These videos will be available at youtube.com/play and it will also be telecasted at New York’s Guggenheim from 22nd October to 24th October.

The Archos 5 Internet Tablet, released last fall, has a 5-inch screen and can show high-resolution video. Pricing ranges from $250 to $500, depending on the configuration.

Apple’s tablet, expected to be announced Wednesday, is not the first of the new generation of devices, even though it may be the most anticipated.

HTC and Google are reportedly jointly working on a tablet. HP and Dell have announced they’ll have their own tablets. Microsoft may be too, although during CEO Steve Ballmer’s speech at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this month, he shared an HP slate prototype, not Microsoft’s talked-about “Courier” tablet.
