This red-shirted character based on Bates was premiered on 30th October in the beta version of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm where he was given the highest honor.

South Park accused of infringing on the copyright of a popular YouTube video- “South Park” has been sued for Their Parody of Viral YouTube “Butt” Clip.

Hollywood reporter stated that Brownmark Films has sued the producers of this animated hit for ripping contents from their hit video “What What (In the Butt)”.

Since the original video based on a song by Samwell was posted in February 2007 it had garnered over 33 million viewers.

A case has been filed in the US District Court in Wisconsin claiming the violation to be “willful, intentional, and purposeful, in disregard of and indifferent to the rights of Brownmark,”, as stated by THR reports.

The show’s creator Matt Stone stated “It’s just because we do the show in six days, and we’re stupid and we just threw it together.”

“But in the end, there are some lines that we had to call and apologize for.”

This Wednesday, the New York Times stated on its website that Victoria Grand, YouTube spokeswoman stated that the videos related to Anwar al-Awlaki which has been posted on YouTube has violated the site’s guidelines prohibiting “incitement to commit violent acts.”

The newspaper further stated that this video was removed after a British official urged its removal. Anthony Weiner, Democratic New York Rep also sent letters to the company listing numerous videos featuring US born Yemeni cleric.

His request was taken more seriously following last week’s attempted mail bombings from Yemen.

As per a company statement “For the past two years, I’ve taken on more of an advisory role at YouTube as Salar Kamangar has led the company’s day-to-day operations.”

The new CEO chosen by the company is none other than Salar Kamangar, the present vice president of product management. Under Kamangar’s influence, more than 2 billion clips per day along with advertisements and business collaborative efforts are being established.

Following the controversial debate, YouTube has decided to curb copyrighted unauthorized videos.

This ban was enforced in 2008 following the posting of videos on the site that insulted Turkey’s founder, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. BBC reported that this video was posted on YouTube by Greeks and was dubbed as “Ataturk and Turks homosexuals”.

This ban was removed after common sense prevailed, as stated by Transport Minister Binali Yildirim on Turkish television. He added that hope the users based in Turkey will learn from this experience and not repeat this mistake again.

Henceforth YouTube will carry on with its operations in Turkey in the future and that too within the limits of law.

Few international organizations state that internet censorship in Turkey is one of the worst in the world.

YouTube CEO Chad Hurley steps down

YouTube CEO Chad Hurley has stepped down, leaving the space for Salar Kamangar, a veteran manager.

According to the reports, YouTube is attempting to increase its mainstream offerings and boost its profitability. Salar Kamangar is the former vice-president of web applications at Google.

Chad Hurley, who is the co-founder of the world’s largest video sharing website said in a statement, “For the past two years, I’ve taken on more of an advisory role at YouTube as Salar Kamangar has led the company’s day-to-day operations.”

He said further, “I will continue to serve as an advisor and am excited to witness the next phase of YouTube’s growth.”

Chad Hurley founded the video-sharing site with Steve Chen in 2005 and sold it to Google some 20 months later for $1.65 billion.

YouTube videos make an impression in modern art: There is no doubt that these days social networking sites are becoming so popular.

And much to everyone’s surprise the social media has carved an impression in modern art. In a recent event titled “YouTube Play: Biennial of Creative Video” displayed a collection of videos from these social media services.

There were 23, 000 entries in total from various countries. These videos mainly comprised of music and animation. Top 25 videos were selected for the competition.

These top 25 videos varied from animated line drawings to cartoons and were created by 39 artists from 14 different countries.

These videos will be available at youtube.com/play and it will also be telecasted at New York’s Guggenheim from 22nd October to 24th October.
