IPL row: Bollywood stands by Shah Rukh

Bollywood ‘Badshah’ Shahrukh Khan has been in the news for all the wrong reasons recently. He had been slammed for supporting Pakistani cricketers. SRK who owns the IPL team ‘Knight Riders’ had spoken on the exclusion of Pakistani cricketers in the IPL matches. SRK’s statement didn’t go down well with Shiv Sena. The party had said that if Shah Rukh failed to apologize for his statement, his next big release ‘My Name Is Khan’ could be banned in Mumbai. SRK had said that the protests were against his comments and not against someone else and this includes Karan Johar’s ‘My Name Is Khan’. To which Shiv Sena spokesman Sanjay Raut said “This is not Shahrukh, but the Khan in him that’s saying all this.”

With the movie set to release on 12th of this month, it has now become a question of debate as to who will win this blame game… However, SRK has very little to worry as his friends and colleagues from the film industry are with him in full support.

After Shah Rukh Khan posted that he will “stand up” for his comment on the exclusion of Pakistani cricketers from the IPL, tweets started flowing in. Here’s what some of them commented on Twitter to support the endearing Khan.
